I'm constantly on the hunt for items to add to my closet that are mom friendly- i.e. easy to wash, easy to squat down/run around in, and super comfortable. While I do this I'm trying not to lose my agency marketer hipster apparel vibe, and am striving to find pieces that help me feel put together and work for all areas of my life. Shirt: c/o & Apparel
When I saw this skirt by & Apparel I knew I needed it. Under $15 and it's exceeded my expectations for quality and usability. To top that off, the owner Andrea is about the smartest #girlboss you'll ever meet! I met her about a year ago, and then again recently where she shared what it's like to get through Christmas as a shop owner and how terrible she felt when her toddler scribbled on an invoice. When I placed my order I jokingly asked for some toddler drawings with my invoice and she more than delivered! I cracked up at the heartfelt scribbles I unwrapped with my package. Their message is to make clothing fun, and I love that every piece really is so fun! She also sent me this shirt, c/o & Apparel and I'm digging its soft ways, stitched logo that won't fade, and of course, the saying was right up my alley! They rock at t-shirts, so many awesome options!
I try hard not to do all knit, a little structure is a good thing for a girl with curves and it helps an outfit feel pulled together. I'm also understanding why so many of my mommy blogging friends I hang with own leather jackets and tougher feeling accessories and shoes. Sometimes you just need to feel like there's more to you than singing nursery rhymes and you're still a bad-@%* deep down somewhere. I think more pieces like these boots will be in my life the longer the I'm a mom and the more children I have!
